Principal's Message:

Nothing replaces you! Your support means the world to your child and their success. Creekview faculty, staff and I would like to thank you for coming to the recent SEP meetings. During this time of setting goals, I would hope that you take a few minutes to consider the following:

• Regular school attendance is so very important. Please make sure that your child is here and on time every day.
• Reading to your child, with your child, and listening to your child read every day, strengthens their reading skills; and also bonds your family with traditions and wonderful memories.
• Everyone needs their basic math facts memorized so that they are automatic. While traveling in the car, make a game of reviewing addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Physical activity can also play an important role in the overall success of a child. Help your child develop the habit of exercise whether it's dancing, football or chores around the house. Carbon Recreation offers a wide variety of activities geared to children.
• On school nights especially, it is imperative for children to get enough sleep. We have students every day who are too tired to think due to staying up late in the evening.

Creekview is looking forward to a great year. We are implementing a new intervention program with our reading specialist and resource this year to help students who are struggling and also moving forward with our gifted/talented program to provide experiences for students who need more challenge. This should be a truly great year for your child! Let us know how we can help you.
