May 4th-15th Expectations
Students will be expected to work on these three things each day.
An online Why Try? activity that will be found on our website. Your child’s teacher will give more detailed information when it is available.
Students will read for 60 minutes each day on their level. Raz-Kids, Waterford, Sora, Scholastic - Links on Bruin Webpage or Google Classroom.
Students will work on math for 20 minutes each day.
ST Math, i-Ready or Reflex Math
Teachers will still be checking on students, but not as often and the purpose of that call will shift more to encouragement rather than educational support.
Paraprofessionals who have been reading with students will continue reading with them.
SpEd Services will continue virtually during this period.
May 18-21 Student Check Out
Student appointments will be scheduled each day to ensure social distancing.
During checkout, students are expected to return their Chromebooks, books, and any completed work.
Students will go to their teacher’s outside door to return their items and receive an “I survived virtual learning!” Goodie bag, report card, and tell their teacher goodbye for the summer.
Yearbooks will also be distributed during checkout. No yearbook signing will take place this year. You may be able to bring them back in the fall for signatures.
Social distancing guidelines need to be followed. Remember 6 ft spacing between people and no physical contact during the checkout.
