School Community Council

Bruin Point Elementary

The School LAND Trust Program, established by the legislature in 1999, distributes the “annual dividend” from the permanent State School Fund through school districts and charter schools for all public schools in the state. Elected parents, elected teachers, and the school’s principal serve on School Community Councils. School Community Councils in each school prepare a plan to address the school’s greatest academic need. Local School Boards approve the plans, and funding is sent to each school with an approved plan before the school year begins. The program is paperless and visible on the web at www.schoollandtrust.org.

2020-21 Goals

Goal #1 

Currently 23% of Bruin Point students are reading at a level corresponding to their end of year grade level goal (January 2020 data). By the end of the 2020-21 school year 50% of our student population will read on or above grade level based on the Raz-Kids leveling assessment.

Goal #2

Eighty percent (80%) of students receiving Reset Room support will maintain or increase their Raz reading level during the stretch of time when Reset Room services are provided.

Goal #3

Currently being amended-amendment will be posted as soon as it is approved.
