Carbon School District held its annual Teacher Opening Institute as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year starting Thursday. We warmly welcomed new teachers and honored those who have dedicated 4, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to our students. An inspiring speech from the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, Davette Butcher, encouraged us all to focus on the positives to become more positive people. She challenged us to help students increase their happiness by having them reflect on the positive moments in their day by asking your students to tell you one good thing that happened in their day. Welcome back everyone - let's make this school year amazing!
