John DeSandre was hired in 1995 to be a Math teacher at Helper Middle School (back then it was Helper Junior High). In 2015, he was hired as a Math Teacher at Carbon High. He stated that “What meant the most to him was that he enjoyed teaching the youth in this area and he did his best to help them. He enjoyed hearing their success stories”.
