Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Girls Tennis Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. The Assistant Girls Tennis Coach will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive and positive environment for student-athletes. They will help teach fundamental and advanced tennis skills, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach will also assist with practice planning, game-day preparation, and administrative tasks related to the tennis program.
Responsibilities:
Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and matches.
Instruct players on tennis techniques, rules, and strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
Provide individual feedback to players to help them improve.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and travel.
Assist with managing equipment and maintaining tennis facilities.
Support academic and personal development of student-athletes.
Ensure adherence to school and league rules and policies.
Promote good sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
Assist with communication to parents, athletes, and the school community.
Attend coaching meetings, clinics, and professional development as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous tennis coaching or playing experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with high school athletes.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to the mission and values of the school and athletic program.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
