Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Swim Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Assistant Swim Coach supports the Head Swim Coach in developing and maintaining a successful high school swim program. This role involves assisting with practices, meets, athlete development, and promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among student-athletes. Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting swim practices and conditioning sessions. Provide instruction to student-athletes on swimming techniques, stroke development, and race strategies. Supervise athletes to ensure a safe and positive practice and competition environment. Previous competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of swimming techniques, training methods, and meet rules/regulations. Part-time; hours include but not limited to before/after school practices, evening/weekend meets, and occasional team events. Compensation according to district coaching stipend schedule. Responsibilities Include:

-Help teach and clean choreography and technique
-Support conditioning, skill development, and performance preparation
-Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive student relationships
-Assist with supervision of students during practices, travel, and events
-Help coordinate costumes, music, schedules, and other team needs as assigned
-Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and coaching staff
-Ensure adherence to school, district, and activity guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in dance, drill team, cheer, or related performance activities
-Previous coaching or teaching experience preferred
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-Ability to motivate and mentor high school students
-Availability for after-school practices, evening events, and occasional weekends
Requirements:
-Must pass all district/background check requirements
-CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
-Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
This is a stipend position. Salary is based on district guidelines. Will work approximately 20 hours per week.

Each graduate receives 6 tickets in the bleachers for graduation. (Graduation is also livestreamed by ETV.)
We have a limited number of additional bleacher tickets. If you would like to request an extra ticket (1 total per graduate), you can fill out the form on the Graduation 2026 link starting at 7 AM Thursday, May 7th. This is first come, first served until the extras are gone.
We are also offering some additional tickets on the grassy terraces (bring your own seat). The form for that will open at 7 AM on Friday, May 8th.
Graduates pick up their tickets when they do their final checkout on Thursday, May 14th from 9 AM-2 PM.
The Head Custodian is responsible for leading and coordinating custodial operations at a high school facility to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position supervises custodial staff, manages daily cleaning schedules, oversees building maintenance support, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
-Supervise, train, and evaluate custodial staff
-Assign daily cleaning tasks and work schedules
-Ensure staff follow safety procedures and district policies
-Coordinate coverage for absences and special events
Facility Maintenance & Cleaning
-Oversee cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, gymnasium, cafeteria, and office areas
-Inspect building regularly to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
-Address spills, hazards, and urgent cleaning needs promptly
-Ensure floors are properly maintained (sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing)
Event Support
-Set up and break down for school events, assemblies, athletics, and community use
-Ensure facilities are ready for daily instructional use
Safety & Compliance
-Maintain proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
-Follow OSHA, district safety guidelines, and sanitation standards
-Report maintenance issues, vandalism, or safety concerns to administration
Inventory & Supplies
-Monitor and order custodial supplies and equipment
-Maintain inventory of cleaning products and tools
-Ensure proper use and care of equipment
Communication
-Work closely with school administration, teachers, and district facilities staff
-Report issues affecting building operations or safety
Qualifications
-Previous custodial or facilities maintenance experience required
-Supervisory experience strongly preferred
-Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
-Ability to operate floor care machines and basic maintenance tools
-Strong organizational and leadership skills
-Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

-May require evening or weekend hours for events or emergencies
