The Head Custodian is responsible for leading and coordinating custodial operations at a high school facility to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. -Ensure floors are properly maintained (sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing)
Event Support
-Set up and break down for school events, assemblies, athletics, and community use
-Ensure facilities are ready for daily instructional use
Safety & Compliance
-Maintain proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
-Follow OSHA, district safety guidelines, and sanitation standards
-Report maintenance issues, vandalism, or safety concerns to administration
Inventory & Supplies
-Monitor and order custodial supplies and equipment
-Maintain inventory of cleaning products and tools
-Ensure proper use and care of equipment
Communication
-Work closely with school administration, teachers, and district facilities staff
-Report issues affecting building operations or safety
Qualifications
-Previous custodial or facilities maintenance experience required
-Supervisory experience strongly preferred
-Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment
-Ability to operate floor care machines and basic maintenance tools
-Strong organizational and leadership skills
-Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Working Conditions
-Indoor and outdoor work required
-Exposure to cleaning chemicals and variable temperatures
-May require evening or weekend hours for events or emergencies

Must be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background screening. 29 hours per week. Beginning pay is $17.25 per hour. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use. Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile) and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. CHS Students and Parents... ASPIRE Testing for 9th and 10th-grade students will take place over the next four days (April 21 - 24). Attendance is required for ALL students (9th - 12th) this week, even if you are not testing. This includes students who have opted out of testing. ALL 9th and 10th-grade students who have opted out of testing will report to the library during the testing period(s). Attendance will be taken each class period, every day, for all grade levels.
Seniors and Parents of Seniors, please check your email for important information regarding graduation requirements, upcoming senior events, and graduation. If you did not receive Mrs. Abbott's email, please contact Mrs. Abbott. Also, administration has sent out an email to seniors that have attendance probations. If you received the email, please get those probations cleared ASAP. Attendance probations do affect graduation and graduation is coming up quickly.
Aspire Testing is next week (April 21 - 24, 2026) for CHS ninth and tenth grade students. Due to testing, the school bell schedule has been altered to accommodate. Please see the attached schedule for details. School will run as normal for all 9th - 12th grade students, however, all students will follow the attached schedule to allow for testing. PLEASE NOTE: WE START WITH 4TH PERIOD ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. Buses will run at their regular times. Concurrent Enrollment and Internship students should communicate with supervisors and teachers to work out schedules.

Must have the ability to communicate with all stakeholders, ability to follow directions as well as knowledge of the skills and strategies of the game of basketball. There will be no admittance into the test after 8:00 am. No food or drink will be allowed inside the testing room. ACT Rosters have been given to math teachers so the student can check which classroom they will be testing in. Buses will run at their normal schedule. If a junior needs to ride a bus, they will wait at the school until 3:15 pm. Ninth(9), Tenth(10), and Twelfth(12) grade students DO NOT come to school tomorrow. They will be excused.

The Utah Developmental Disabilities Council will be holding a Public Comment meeting at the District office on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3pm-5pm. The Council is developing their new 5 year State Plan for 2027-2031 which will guide their work to identify and improve areas of need for Utahns with Disabilities. The public is invited to review and provide comment on the proposed goals and objectives, as required by law.

Jostens will be at CHS delivering caps & gowns, announcements, etc. on Mon, April 6, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Point Conference Room (Library). Please stop by and pick things up, or buy a cap & gown if still needed. Graduation is May 19, 2026 @ 7:00 p.m.
