Attention all parents of Carbon High Students who are interested in participating in a Fall Sport during the 2025 season, registration is now open on Aktivate. Also please be advised that your student must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and no F's from 4th quarter and all PRB's must be made up in order to be eligible to participate. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Girls Tennis Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Assistant Girls Tennis Coach will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive and positive environment for student-athletes. They will help teach fundamental and advanced tennis skills, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach will also assist with practice planning, game-day preparation, and administrative tasks related to the tennis program.
Responsibilities:
Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and matches.
Instruct players on tennis techniques, rules, and strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
Provide individual feedback to players to help them improve.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and travel.
Assist with managing equipment and maintaining tennis facilities.
Support academic and personal development of student-athletes.
Ensure adherence to school and league rules and policies.
Promote good sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
Assist with communication to parents, athletes, and the school community.
Attend coaching meetings, clinics, and professional development as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous tennis coaching or playing experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively with high school athletes.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to the mission and values of the school and athletic program.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Completion of any required coaching certifications

CHS is offering Attendance School for students needing to work off probation. Sessions start Tuesday, May 27th through June 20th from 8:00am - 12:15pm. Spots are limited and are first come, first served. Signup for Attendance School in the office Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 2:00pm.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO ATHLETE REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY***
For those students who are returning to CHS for the 2025-26 school year and are planning to tryout and participate in a fall sport, registration on Aktivate will open on May 27. You must be registered for your sport of choice in order to particpate and compete so please make sure this is taken care of as soon as possible.
Also please remember that you must be academically eligible and can have no F's, I's or PRB's and must have a GPA that is 2.0 or above on your 4th quarter report card in order to participate. If you have any F's, I's or PRB's on your report card you will need to sign up for summer school in order to get your grades made up. Summer School will begin on May 27 and will run for four weeks and is the only option available to make up grades and work off PRB's so please contact your counselor as soon as possible to get signed up for summer school. Failure to do this will make you ineligible for all Fall Sports.
