Dear Parents and Students,

Can you believe that we just finished the 1st quarter of school already?  You will receive your child’s report card during Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC) which will be held October 22-23.  During PTCs, classroom teachers will go over your child’s academic and behavior progress with you.  If you have not signed up for a conference time please do so as soon as possible at https://chefall25.appointlet.com or call the office at 435-637-7177 to schedule an appointment time.

Just a reminder that parents can track their student’s academic progress and attendance by logging into their PowerSchool account.  The link is found on the Carbon School District web page. If you do not have a log in, please contact the office at 435-637-7177 for help. You can also stay informed of upcoming school activities by visiting our Castle Heights Elementary Website and then click on the “Events” icon.

Speaking of upcoming events, October 27-31 is our Red Ribbon Week sponsored by PTA. They will be sending home information about daily activities that will be taking place that week. We encourage all students to participate.

Halloween is just around the corner and we will hold our CHE Halloween parade on Friday, October 31 at 1:00 pm. Parents are welcome to come watch the parade which will be held outside (weather permitting) on the playground where the blacktop meets the grass. Parents do not need to check-in with the office for the parade. Classroom parties will be held after the parade for CHE students. Classroom volunteers helping with the parties will need to sign in at the office. If you are interested in helping, please contact your child’s classroom teacher. Here are some guidelines for Halloween Costumes:

  • Students who choose to wear a costume must wear their costume to school.

  • Costumes are expected to be school appropriate/modest. No suggestive costumes. Skirts/shorts need to be longer than fingertip length.

  • Costume masks may be worn for the parade only. If adults dress up, no masks are to be worn on campus

  • No weapons/toy weapons are allowed at school even if they are a part of the costume

We look forward to the exciting activities that we have planned for this month!
