The Career and Technical Education (CTE) coordinator has the chief responsibility to formulate and administer a comprehensive program of Career and Technical Education. This includes working collaboratively with administrators, student services personnel, and teachers to ensure the delivery of career development services. The CTE coordinator is also to facilitate linkages with parents, business/industry, post-secondary institutions, and community organizations to support students' transition to postsecondary education and employment.
Essential Duties-
• Work with school site counselors to ensure all students have completed a career interest survey that is revisited annually;
• Recruit students for available CTE programs;
• Responsible for assisting with writing and evaluating any CTE (Perkins) grants;
• Attend monthly consortium meetings;
• Be a liaison to community organizations;
• Arrange and direct in-service education for CTE staff;
• Make recommendation for long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the CTE programs to meet changing job trends and labor market needs;
• Monitor present course offerings for applicability to future job markets and build CTE programs of study;
• Assist in the recruitment and screening of CTE personnel;
• Market CTE programs and partnerships;
Qualifications-
• Must have the skills to communicate with individuals from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
• Must have knowledge of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses and the role of the CTE program in a school district and community.
• Knowledge of principles and practices implementing programs and multiple pathways.
Abilities-
• Communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, community members, and parents, both verbally and in writing.
• Gather and analyze data, and prepare clear, concise reports.
• Demonstrate the use of strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Successful experience as a classroom teacher as well as at least three (3) years of certificated teaching experience within the CTE program.
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Child Nutrition Manager at Creekview Elementary. The Kitchen Manager supervises and coordinates food services to ensure proper nutrition and safeguard the health of students, staff and visitors and maintain requirements of USDA child nutrition program. Will oversee employees and food production within the school cafeteria. Will be responsible for inventory, ordering food and supplies, handle customer complaints, keep detailed administrative records, as well as ensuring that the kitchen and cafeteria operations follow sanitation and health regulations. It is preferred that applicants have experience in food service management, good customer service skills and moderate computer skills. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a SPED Behavior/Transition Interventionist to work at the District Office. This position is a Special Education position for a Behavior Interventionist who can provide support, monitor, and train using behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, coping skills, and problem solving for students with behavioral challenges. In addition, coordinating transition services for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities by working with school teams to identify and help families access school and community resources and coordinate school to work initiatives district wide.
Requirements: Knowledge of special educations procedures and rules, knowledge of behavioral interventions and strategies, ability to coordinate with teachers and students and create a process for developing behavior plans, knowledge of post secondary transition needs and services for individuals with disabilities. Must have a Master's degree in social work or related education field. Experience in behavioral interventions and/or education is preferred
