Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Head Girls Golf Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Head Girls Golf Coach is responsible for developing, organizing, and leading a competitive high school golf program in alignment with the values and mission of the school and athletic department. The coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and academic excellence among student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Program Leadership & Management:
o Plan, organize, and supervise practices, matches, and team events.
o Develop and implement instructional plans to improve individual and team performance.
o Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
· Student-Athlete Development:
o Foster a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players.
o Emphasize academic accountability and support student-athletes in balancing school and sports.
o Provide guidance and mentorship on athletic, personal, and character development.
· Administrative Duties:
o Organize team transportation, equipment, and uniforms in coordination with the athletic department.
o Maintain accurate records of player participation and team performance.
o Communicate with parents, school staff, and administrators in a professional and timely manner.
o Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
· Public Relations & Recruitment:
o Promote the program within the school and community to encourage participation.
Qualifications:
· In-depth knowledge of golf fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work with and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
· CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
· Must pass required background checks and meet school district coaching certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Participation in high school or collegiate golf.
· Knowledge of tournament planning, course management, and swing analysis.
