Carbon School District is seeking applications for substitute kitchen workers. These workers will assist kitchen managers with various duties in the school kitchens such as: preparing food, serving students, dishes, cleanup, sweeping, mopping, storing food, and any other duties that are required to assist management. This job is a district wide job and is on an as needed basis. A food handler permit is required for application. Must be able to pass a Live Scan Fingerprint background check which costs $25. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Behavior Aide/Intervention Aide at Castle Heights Elementary School in Price UT. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, will provide support to all students, including those that need help to get refocused and back to class when they are having issues following rules, staying focused, etc. Will work about 25 hours per week. Mark your calendar for our Back-2-School Night which will be held in your child’s classroom on Wednesday, August 24th. Please join us in your child's teacher's classroom for at 5:15 pm for a brief introduction to Title 1, School Community Council, and PTA. Classroom teachers will then share their classroom specific information with you after the presentation. The 3 classroom sessions for parents to attend will be as follows: 5:15-5:55 pm, 6:00-6:25 pm, and 6:30-6:55 pm.

School starts at 8:10 and dismissed at 2:40. You can meet your teacher at their OUTSIDE CLASSROOM DOOR. Watch your students backpacks for important notes, which are also found on our school website. Don't forget to let us know if your student is not going to be in school and please follow up with an email/note. We are excited for a fun and exciting year!

Guest Teachers provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. Guest Teachers execute lesson plans left by the absent teacher. Our CHE Archery team took 1st place in the Western Nationals!!! The bus should arrive in town around 9:00 pm. We'd LOVE to have you come out and show your support as they return to the school using 1st North street. Mr. Hansen will text me when the bus reaches the summit. Parents, just a reminder that if you live out of our school boundaries or if your child is currently attending Castle Heights on a boundary waiver, you need to renew a Boundary Waiver Form every year for each student. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Instructional Coach at Castle Heights Elementary. Will serve as mentor teacher and coach to teachers. Supervise and guide paraprofessional aides in the preparation and implementation of lessons used for small group Tier II tutoring. Using data, collaborate with teachers and the principal to determine which students need Tier III academic interventions. Develop, guide, and track Tier III interventions. Serve on the School Leadership Team using academic and behavior data quarterly to develop and implement a fluid School Improvement Plan. Provide testing ethics training to teachers and aides so that testing administration is consistent for reliable and valid data. Schedule and oversee the implementation of school-wide state and district mandated testing. Serve on the Behavior Team. Serve as back-up administrator when the Principal is out of the building. Other duties as assigned by administration. Must have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid Utah Teaching certificate and experience as a Teacher.
