The Utah Developmental Disabilities Council will be holding a Public Comment meeting at the District office on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3pm-5pm. The Council is developing their new 5 year State Plan for 2027-2031 which will guide their work to identify and improve areas of need for Utahns with Disabilities. The public is invited to review and provide comment on the proposed goals and objectives, as required by law.

As a reminder 5th grade will be attending the JA City field trip on Thursday, March 19. Students will leave at 7:30 and return about 3:30. JA City will only allow the assigned chaperones into the building. After the field trip, you may only take your child. The school policy is that you may not take another child home with you. All children who do not have a parent chaperoning must ride the bus home.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Classroom Aide at Creekview Elementary School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Elementary School Classroom Aide supports teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for students. This role assists with instructional activities, classroom management, and student supervision. Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson preparation. Provide support to individual students or small groups as needed. Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school events. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Monitor student behavior and provide guidance consistent with school policies. Support students with special needs, following individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required. Please carefully look over it with your child so they will have an understanding as to what classes they may want to register for next year. Mont Harmon will be here at Creekview this Thursday, February 12 to help them select classes and start the registration process. Mont Harmon will reach out to parents in August when classes are finalized.
