
Spring time is here and it is warming up outside. We would like to offer some reminders about dress code for school. The student handbook for Carbon school district states no see-through clothing or excessive exposure of bare skin and/or underwear. At Creekview, this is interpreted as: Shorts must at least reach your fingertips when your arms are held straight at your sides. Shirts should be long enough to cover your stomach. Tank top straps should be at least as wide as 2 fingers. Thanks for your cooperation

Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch workers. There is a position at Creekview Elementary School as well as at Mont Harmon Middle School. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports. Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff. Food handler permit is required upon hiring. Will work up to 25 hours per week. Creekview Parents: Tomorrow is our last collection day for the PTA fundraiser Penny Wars. We have appreciated all of your support thus far! Remember this is the only fundraiser PTA will do this year, so dig deep into those pockets and turn those couch cushions upside down. The funds raised by the PTA go directly to your child. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education/IEP support teacher. The Special Education IEP support teacher will be responsible for assisting with UPIPS monitoring requirements, file reviews, and supporting special education teachers in the development and compliance of IEP files. Will occasionally complete special education testing if needed. Requirements of the positions is to be a licensed special education teacher with a great knowledge of the IEP process, high compliance with completion of IEP forms, understanding of special eligibility requirements, and ability to help teachers complete required IEP forms for students. Must have a Bachelor's degree. May need to provide assistance in holding IEP meetings with school staff and parents. This is a part time position and will begin Fall of 2022. SPED Coordinator to manage several Special Education programs including alternate testing, transition, medicaid, compliance, hearing and vision screenings, OT/PT services. Additional duties will include testing for Special Education programs for students referred for Special Education services. Dr. Seuss Week is in full swing. Dress up days are as follows: Tuesday - Crazy Socks, Wednesday- Crazy Hair, Thursday - Wear Green and Friday is P.J. day. Yearbook envelopes are coming home. We are now taking orders for $25.00 until April 16th. The price will be $30.00 after April 16th. Also the PTA is seeking nominees for the 2022-2023 PTA Board. If you would like to nominate anyone for a position, please fill out a form in the office. They will be due March 11th.

Spring Picture Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1st. Your student will only get their photo taken if you have paid online at mylifetouch.com or send the completed picture day form to school with your child. Please note: the school does not have the ability to change any large bills, please send the correct amount of money in the picture order envelope.

Please be sure to look over Dr. Seuss Flyer that will be coming home as well as the Penny War information from PTA. Also an envelope for yearbook pre-sales will be provided. The cost is $25.00. Kids Heart Challenge money is due tomorrow. Thanks.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Child Nutrition Program Supervisor. The Child Nutrition Program Supervisor oversees all aspects of the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) throughout the school district. The job functions will include administrating, planning, directing, and evaluating the program in order to meet the nutritional and educational needs of students.
Position responsibilities include establish quality standards for the presentation and service of food; implement a department-wide customer service philosophy focused on value and satisfaction; develop cost-effective menus that maintain nutritional integrity and meet state and federal guidelines and regulations; assess student preferences, industry trends, and current research to plan menus that encourage participation in the CNP. Work with school staff, teachers, parents, and physicians to plan menus for students with special nutrition needs. Establish procedures to ensure food is prepared and served in a sanitary and safe environment. Integrate employee safety regulations into all phases of the school food service operation.
Manage the CNP using appropriate financial management techniques
Ensure all records and supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with district, state and federal laws and policies.
Oversee the hiring, training, and evaluation of departmental staff
Must have a knowledge of menu planning, food purchasing, and preparation of foods in food service environment, experience with budget management, experience supervising personnel and strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Foods and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Dietetics, Family and Consumer Science, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field* OR Bachelor’s degree in any academic major and at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience* OR an Associate’s degree in one of the following areas: Foods and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Dietetics, Family and Consumer Science, Culinary Arts, Business, or related field and at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience*
*Applicants currently working on or willing to obtain a degree in the fields listed above may apply. Must be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background check (cost of $25).
