For safety reasons parents are not allowed in the cafeteria during breakfast or lunch, or walking students down the halls to class in the mornings. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a District Wide Behavior Interventionist. * * Design behavior interventions for classrooms * Conduct functional behavior assessments * Must have experience working with people with disabilities * Collaborate with teachers and school staff to write and implement behavior plans * Train staff to fully implement the behavior plans * Write reports and communicate well with a variety of people * Attend parent meetings with school staff * Able to handle crises and respond during the school day Preferred Experience: * Working with students ages 3-22 * Working in an educational setting Must have a Masters degree and be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background screening. Happy Halloween! Here are the rules for costumes...No face masks, No face painting (except minimal ie: scars, whiskers etc.) Students must be able to be recognized. No weapons of any kind, School dress code rules apply to students and volunteers. Volunteers need to have a background check completed through the school district. Also Student Government is holding a food drive until November 22nd. Please donate nonperishable items. Thanks!

Parents of students ALL ages: Please sign up and come tonight to a free training and dinner. It is the best way to kick off Red Ribbon Week, AND there will be AMAZING raffle prizes for those in attendance. 6:00 at the Student Center @ USU-E

Please remind children who eat breakfast here at school that they need to eat before going to play on the playground. Also we have several coats/jackets already stacking up in our lost and found. Please come check if your student is missing theirs. It is helpful if their name is written inside their coat. Thanks.

Just a reminder that Reflections projects are due October 25th if you want to work on them over fall break! Remember all projects need to be submitted online. The next raffle will be Wednesday, October 23rd.

CSD Parents and Guardians, We understand that the information shared this week regarding a cell phone ban during school hours is a huge change for you and your students. We will communicate regularly over the next month to help you understand the implementation details. We will share data describing the rationale for the consideration, details about student expectations, and how we can work together to work through this transition together. Questions were brought to us yesterday regarding students with medical needs, how the pouches will be locked and unlocked, and the use of phones during extra-curricular activities. BACKGROUND CHECKS now available here at Creekview! We will be offering FREE background checks on Wednesday, October 16th between 10:00 and 12:30. If you are interested in working in the classroom, attending parties or fieldtrips please come and get your check done. We love volunteers. You are welcome and needed. Driver's Licenses are required. CSD Parents and Guardians, Starting on October 21, 2024, Carbon School District is implementing a cell phone ban. Our primary goal is to reduce the overwhelming distraction to learning caused by cell phone use in school. For secondary schools, we are implementing a policy requiring cell phones to be locked in a school-provided, signal-blocking pouch. The students will be responsible for locking their phones in the pouch at the beginning of the school day. The students will maintain possession of their phones during the entire day as long as the phone remains in the pouch. We understand that this is a big change and parents will have many questions. We also realize that parents must contact their students in emergency situations. Please read through the FAQ and infographic found on our district and school websites to help answer some of your initial questions. We will continue to share information from now until the planned implementation day to help ease the transition for students and parents. Parents and students, please join us tonight at 6:00 for Literacy night. It will be held in the cafeteria.

Today, there was a law enforcement incident in Helper that resulted in Helper Middle School and Sally Mauro Elementary to be placed on "hold", which means everyone remained in the building and school was conducted as usual. The schools were supported by our school resource officers patrolling the doors and assisting people who came to the school. Due to the incident, there were changes for the busing route and walking students that live near the subdivision by the incident. Parents were contacted, and supported the school with assisting with picking up their children. Carbon District would like to thank law enforcement, parents, staff and students for supporting this safety protocol. Outside of having an "indoor recess" after lunch, the students days were not interrupted and everyone was safe and learning.

Kindergarten parents: Tonight's Kinder-Senior Walk is at 6:30 at CHS's football field. The kindergarteners should wear their Creekview Coyote BLUE shirt. The event is FREE. (No football game tonight - it is Friday night @7.) There will be food trucks and other activities. This will be a fun new tradition.

Due to an accident near Spring Glen that is causing a road closure, bus routes will be delayed today, Thursday, September 26, 2024. Please be patient as we work with officials to get your students home safely.

Hello Parents, this year Creekview's Bookfair will be held December 9 - 13. This will be a great time to stock up on some Christmas gifts for your family.
