Dear Wellington Elementary Families, Please join us tomorrow night, Thursday, August 26th for Back to School Night. We will have two breakout sessions. Kindergarten sessions will be 5:30 and 6:00. First Grade through fifth grade sessions will be 6:00 and 6:25. This will be an informational session for you to learn a little about your child's class and how things run. We can't wait to see you tomorrow night!!

Back to school Night
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Sweeper at Wellington Elementary School in Wellington, Utah. THIS IS AN EVENING HOUR POSITION.  This position will work approximately 20 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use.  Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Kindergarten First Day
We had an amazing first day at Wellington Elementary today. It was great to see all of our Warriors and a lot of new Warriors. If you were unable to get a picture of your child this morning, we have left out our photo background and props. We will also have it out when our new kindergarten students come. Just a couple of reminders: 1. You must park in a designated parking spot. 2. Student cannot be dropped off before 7:20 in the morning. There is no supervision available until 7:30 when the buses arrive and breakfast is being served. We can't wait to see you all again tomorrow!!!

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Computer Lab/Reading Para Pro at Wellington Elementary. Tall Cop Community & Parent Night This presentation explains the current drug & alcohol terms in simple language for each attendee to apply what they learn in their community, school, or even at home. This session will not only identify what some of those products are, but it will also show attendees behaviors associated with them and how that can impact a young person, family, or community, who might be associated with this environment. Responsible to plan, conduct, and manage activities for students involved in the after-school program. Collaborate with school staff and others working in the after-school program. Will work Monday-Friday, 29 hours per week. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Lunch Worker. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports.  Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff.  Food handler permit is required upon hiring.  Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Reminder: Tomorrow is 4th and 5th grade park day. Students need to dress accordingly, have good walking shoes, wear sunscreen, and bring an extra water bottle. If they choose to bring toys for the park, they are responsible for them. Also, if you did NOT order a lunch from the school, don't forget to bring yours.

Reminder: Tomorrow is the effort party for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Students need to bring their swimming suits and a towel. They may also want to bring sunscreen. If you did not order a lunch from the school, remember to bring a lunch.

If you need a disposable one, we will provide one. If you did not order a lunch from the school, don’t forget to bring your lunch.
