Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Computer Lab/Reading Para Pro at Wellington Elementary. Will be working with all grade levels in Computer Education. Must have a working knowledge of use of computers for Elementary students. Must enjoy working with and teaching children and be able to work and communicate with other faculty members. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Will be required to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening (cost of $25). Must also be able to pass a Para Professional test (cost of $45) or have an Associate's degree. ​Dear Wellington Elementary Families, Effective September 7th, our school start and end time will be changing. During the first weeks of school, we found a schedule problem. Our buses are dropping students off before we have adequate supervision available. Were are unable to move the student drop off times due to the impact it would have on the middle school. To help keep our students safe, we have chosen to go back to the previous bell schedule. If you have any questions, please call the school at 435-637-2570. Thank you Mrs. Paulie Vogrinec Principal

Dear Wellington Elementary Families, Please join us tomorrow night, Thursday, August 26th for Back to School Night. We will have two breakout sessions. Kindergarten sessions will be 5:30 and 6:00. First Grade through fifth grade sessions will be 6:00 and 6:25. This will be an informational session for you to learn a little about your child's class and how things run. We can't wait to see you tomorrow night!!

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Sweeper at Wellington Elementary School in Wellington, Utah. THIS IS AN EVENING HOUR POSITION.  This position will work approximately 20 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use.  Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Dear Kindergarten Parents, Please join us for "Tears and Cheers" on the first day of Kindergarten on Wednesday, August 25th.

We had an amazing first day at Wellington Elementary today. It was great to see all of our Warriors and a lot of new Warriors. If you were unable to get a picture of your child this morning, we have left out our photo background and props. We will also have it out when our new kindergarten students come. Just a couple of reminders: 1. You must park in a designated parking spot. 2. Student cannot be dropped off before 7:20 in the morning. There is no supervision available until 7:30 when the buses arrive and breakfast is being served. We can't wait to see you all again tomorrow!!!

Tall Cop Community & Parent Night This presentation explains the current drug & alcohol terms in simple language for each attendee to apply what they learn in their community, school, or even at home. This session will not only identify what some of those products are, but it will also show attendees behaviors associated with them and how that can impact a young person, family, or community, who might be associated with this environment. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports.  Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff.  Food handler permit is required upon hiring.  Will work approximately 20 hours per week.
