We are grateful to be one of the very few districts in the U.S. to hold in-person school 5 days a week all school year long. We entered the school year with a commitment that "all healthy students need to be in school". Because of our compliance with our reopening plan and all other requirements, this commitment was realized. We are also grateful that our students have been able to participate in most extra-curricular activities and even prom. The Governor, in consultation with the Utah Department of Health, has extended the requirement for wearing masks in our schools until June 15th. Carbon School District is obligated to comply with this mandate. We ask for your support. We do not want to see any non-compliance negatively impact our students being able to participate in all the upcoming learning and activities. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at Carbon High School. Instruct student athletes on skills and strategies and organize equipment. Must have the ability to communicate with all stakeholders, ability to follow directions as well as knowledge of the skills and strategies of the game of basketball. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Elementary School Counselor at Sally Mauro Elementary School in Helper, Utah. Must recognize the importance of early intervention in elementary school and the elementary school counselor position is intended to support the design and implementation of a systemic counseling program across all grade levels in the elementary system. The elementary school counselor is expected to play an active role in the school improvement process, aligning data-driven systemic counseling program goals with the school and district goals. The elementary school counselor works as a leader and collaborator in the school to provide academic, personal, social, and life skills development opportunities that are necessary for student success and lifelong learning. This focus on alignment plays an integral role in preparing students to be college and career ready students. The approach of the elementary school counselor should be preventative and proactive in nature. Be an active leader in the school, contribute to the development and implementation of the school improvement plan. Counseling data projects need to align with and support school goals. Successful candidates must have a Master’s degree in School Counseling. This position will be for the 2021-2022 school year.

An Assistant Coach supports the head coach, ensures that equipment and facilities are maintained, and performs administrative duties. Assistant Coaches also schedule and supervise practice sessions, maintain training equipment and organize team events. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Head Cheer Coach at Mont Harmon Middle School in Price, Utah. ​The Head Cheer Advistor will be responsible for choosing student participants, creating choreographies, organizing practice sessions, supervision at all Cheer events. The Head Coach is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the required certifications required of a Head Cheerleading Coach in the State of Utah and the team is Stunting Safety certified.  The Advisor must also ensure applicable Carbon School District policies are followed.  Establish a positive learning environment for participants.   Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check (cost $25)

Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Cheer Coach at Mont Harmon Middle School in Price, Utah. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to transport individuals. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Softball Coach at Carbon High School. Experience working with high school student athletes and softball is preferred. Qualified applicants must have the ability to motivate student athletes and the ability to work cooperatively with administrators, coaches, parents and student athletes.
