Tuesday, February 9th, will be a FULL day of school. Normally, the first day of the school week is an "early out" day even if the first school day is a Tuesday. This situation is different. There will NOT be an "early out" day for the week of February 8 - 12. We hope this will minimize the burden placed on families that is caused by unexpectedly making February 8th a "No School Day".
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 8th.
Carbon School District, in cooperation with the Carbon County Educator Association (CCEA), made a plan to designate February 8th, 2021 as a Teacher Work Day with no students if the Carbon County transmission level for COVID-19 was still at "HIGH".

Castle Valley Center students will learn virtually for the next two weeks. This recommendation from the Health Department came as a result of the increase of positive COVID-19 cases and the vulnerability of many of the students who attend Castle Valley Center. This is a preventative measure and does not mean that the students and staff are quarantined. They will simply not be coming together for two weeks.
