Carbon School District is seeking applications for an After School Aide at Bruin Point Elementary School in Sunnyside, Utah. Will work in the After School Program at the Elementary level. Must be able to work well with young children and be able to take direction from the supervising teacher. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Beginning pay is $13.32 per hour. What an exciting afternoon! Our 1st and 2nd graders received their bikes from UDOT and got to check out a snowplow. Thank you parents that came and joined in the excitement and then took bikes home. If you were not able to pick up your child's bike, we will keep them in the gym for you to pick up sometime this week. Please send a thank you to UDOT or post a thanks on Facebook for these awesome people!
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Fine Arts Paraprofessional at Bruin Point Elementary in Sunnyside, Utah. This individual works as a reading and math paraprofessional with small groups or one-on-one with students. In addition, this individual is the fine arts specialist and prepares lessons and activities around fine arts for the classes to participate in during their specials rotations. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. This is a 29 hour per week position where 20 hours per week the pay is starting at $13.32 per hour and the remaining hours per week are paid at $14.92 per hour. Our PTO Christmas Shop is up and running. The store will be open all this week 12:30-2:30pm and on Monday 9:30-11:30am.
Students were able to do a walk thru and see some of the items that are available.
We have posted a catalog on our BPE webiste (Menu-Parents & Community- Parent Teacher Organization) if you want to see what is available too. Each student took home an envelope last week to plan for gifts and to put their money in. If you have any questions, please contact the office and we will do our best to help. A HUGE THANKS TO UDOT--We have been generously gifted enough bikes for all of our first and second grade students by UDOT. Daniel Hinkley and his crew will be here Wednesday, Dec. 7th @ 1:30pm to present the bikes to our kiddos. Parents, we will not be allowing our students to ride the bikes home that day. Please plan on picking them up after 2pm. If you are not able to pick up your childs bike, please call the school and we will hold onto it until you are able to come and get it.
Carbon School District is seeking applications for Guest Teachers throughout the District. Guest Teachers provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. Guest Teachers execute lesson plans left by the absent teacher. Guest Teachers create and maintain a respectful and fair classroom culture that fosters safe and productive learning. Guest Teachers monitor, observe, and report student behavior according to school policies and procedures. Must be a high school graduate and be at least age 18. Will be required to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check as well as a one hour online training course. Pay is $100 for a full day and $50 for a half day.
