Bruin Point Preschool registration will be held on May 14 from 9:30am-11am

Kindergarten registration starts next week. Kindergarten Registration is from 9:00am-11:00am on the following dates:

April 20 – Bruin Point Elementary
April 21 – Castle Heights Elementary
April 22 – Creekview Elementary
April 23 – Sally Mauro Elementary
April 24 – Wellington Elementary

Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to register for Kindergarten. We will be registering students who were born on September 1, 2021 or earlier.

Please note the following requirements:
• A copy of the student’s birth certificate is required.
• Proof of immunizations or a valid exemption must be provided at the time of registration.
• Students must register at their boundary school. Families may submit an online boundary waiver request form if they wish to attend a school outside of their boundary area. • Proof of residency is required at the time of registration. Families must provide valid documentation verifying that the student and parent or guardian physically reside within school boundaries. Acceptable documentation includes a current lease or mortgage statement, a recent utility bill, state issued ID, or official government correspondence in the parent or guardian’s name showing the in-boundary address.
• In accordance with Utah State Law, all students must be toilet trained in order to attend Kindergarten.

The Utah Developmental Disabilities Council will be holding a Public Comment meeting at the District office on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3pm-5pm. The Council is developing their new 5 year State Plan for 2027-2031 which will guide their work to identify and improve areas of need for Utahns with Disabilities. The public is invited to review and provide comment on the proposed goals and objectives, as required by law.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Preschool Paraprofessional at Bruin Point Elementary School in East Carbon, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Preschool Paraprofessional to support our early childhood program. This individual will work closely with the preschool teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children. Assist the preschool teacher with daily classroom activities and instruction. Support individual students and small groups with academic and social-emotional learning. Help prepare instructional materials and classroom centers. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, transitions, and snack time. Assist students with personal needs as appropriate. Communicate effectively with staff and follow teacher direction. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Other duties as assigned. Will work approximately 20 hours per week.
