Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional at Bruin Point Elementary School in Sunnyside, Utah. High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Elementary Special Education Paraprofessional supports students with disabilities in achieving their academic, behavioral, and social goals as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The paraprofessional works under the direction of the special education teacher to provide instructional assistance, promote independence, and foster inclusion in the general education environment. Provide direct support to individual students and small groups during classroom instruction and activities. Assist teachers in implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior support plans. Support students during transitions, specials, lunch, and recess as needed. Will work approx 29 hours per week. Beginning pay is $17.25 per hour. Apply online at www.carbonschools.org

Tomorrow, September 11, is our Bike Rodeo. It starts at 10 a.m., so if your child is participating, please be sure they bring their own bike or scooter and a helmet.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch Subs at various locations throughout the District. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Must have a current Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one in a timely manner. These workers will assist kitchen managers with various duties in the school kitchens such as: preparing food, serving students, dishes, cleanup, sweeping, mopping, storing food, and any other duties that are required to assist management. This job is a district wide job and is on an as needed basis. Beginning pay is $15.97. Apply online at www.carbonschools.org

We are excited to announce that the Student Council elections are scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, at 12:15 PM. This is an important opportunity for our students to engage in leadership and the democratic process.

On election day, candidates will deliver short speeches to the student body before students cast their votes.

Campaign season officially begins today, Monday, September 8, 2025. Students running for office may now begin posting their flyers and posters around the school.

We look forward to seeing our students' dedication and enthusiasm as they campaign for these important leadership roles.
