**COMMUNITY MESSAGE**
We have very heavy hearts in the great loss to our Castle Heights Elementary family. Linda Garvin, a beloved 4th grade teacher, died last night due to injuries sustained in an accident. Our Crisis Response Team has been at the school and will continue to provide services for students and staff.
We have resources prepared for parents to help their children as they process grief. Please contact your child’s school if you need help.
We would like to thank the community for the overwhelming support. We would also like to thank you in advance for respecting the families involved by providing the privacy they need.

If there are students that need to work off Attendance Probations, we have extra Attendance School sessions available during the break on Monday, 12/22 and Friday, 01/02. The sessions are at 8:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm each day. They are two hours each and located in room D15. The cost is $4 per session. Space is limited. Sign-up in the school office. First come, first served.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Aide at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening.
Delivers educational interventions designed by Special Education teachers to help students meet educational, academic, life skills, behavioral, physical, social and emotional goals. Assists teachers with Special Education students to enable learning with minimal disruptions to other students. Due to the varied and individual needs of each student, the Special Education Aide may provide a variety of support and assistance, and should be flexible adjusting to student needs. Assist in the design of a training program and game program. Assist in the organization and supervision of the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented. Due to a malfunctioning emergency sensor, Carbon High was evacuated safely about 45 minutes ago. All is clear and school/classes will resume after lunch at 1:04PM. Students will go to their 3rd period class.

Students/Parents... Halloween is tomorrow (10/31), and you are welcome to wear a costume to school. Here are some reminders: No masks are allowed. You may not wear full-face makeup, you must be identifiable. You can not bring weapons or look-a-likes to school as part of your costume. And finally, your costume must meet the CHS dress code. Thanks in advance for your help and support.
Come welcome home our three-time girls cross country state champion Rozelyn Stowe tonight (10/29) at 8:30pm at Carbon High School. We hope to see as many supporters out as possible.
The Girl's Wrestling Team will hold a meeting on Thursday, October 30th at 3:15pm in Coach Howa's classroom in the Main Gym. All girls interested should plan on attending.

You can access your student's report card by logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal or the PowerSchool app. If you need help logging into your account, contact the CHS Counseling Office.
