Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Girls Head Golf Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Head Girls Golf Coach is responsible for developing, organizing, and leading a competitive high school golf program in alignment with the values and mission of the school and athletic department. The coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and academic excellence among student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Program Leadership & Management:
o Plan, organize, and supervise practices, matches, and team events.
o Develop and implement instructional plans to improve individual and team performance.
o Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
· Student-Athlete Development:
o Foster a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players.
o Emphasize academic accountability and support student-athletes in balancing school and sports.
o Provide guidance and mentorship on athletic, personal, and character development.
· Administrative Duties:
o Organize team transportation, equipment, and uniforms in coordination with the athletic department.
o Maintain accurate records of player participation and team performance.
o Communicate with parents, school staff, and administrators in a professional and timely manner.
o Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
· Public Relations & Recruitment:
o Promote the program within the school and community to encourage participation.
Qualifications:
· In-depth knowledge of golf fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work with and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
· CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
· Must pass required background checks and meet school district coaching certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Participation in high school or collegiate golf.
· Knowledge of tournament planning, course management, and swing analysis.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO ATHLETE REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY***
For those students who are returning to CHS for the 2025-26 school year and are planning to tryout and participate in a fall sport, registration on Aktivate will open on May 27. You must be registered for your sport of choice in order to particpate and compete so please make sure this is taken care of as soon as possible.
Also please remember that you must be academically eligible and can have no F's, I's or PRB's and must have a GPA that is 2.0 or above on your 4th quarter report card in order to participate. If you have any F's, I's or PRB's on your report card you will need to sign up for summer school in order to get your grades made up. Summer School will begin on May 27 and will run for four weeks and is the only option available to make up grades and work off PRB's so please contact your counselor as soon as possible to get signed up for summer school. Failure to do this will make you ineligible for all Fall Sports.

The previous text concerning bus times is referring to Thursday's Senior Sluff trip to Lagoon. The Lagoon trip is NOT tomorrow (Tuesday).
Seniors planning to go to Lagoon, please be at CHS and on the bus by 7:55 AM. The bus will leave right at 8:00 AM. The bus will return to CHS around 6:00 PM. Please be sure to bring money for food and a jacket.
Parents- If you have a student taking the AP World History exam. They are running a little behind and are scheduled to finish about 3:55pm. Alternative plans will need to be made if your child rides a bus. If this is the case, at the end of the exam, we will encourage your child to contact you to make those arrangements. Also, the activity bus leaves CHS at 5pm and heads toward Helper. The activity bus also leaves CHS at 6pm and heads toward East Carbon. The Activity bus will be available for those students that need it.

Senior Parents/Guardians - Traditionally, our local news media prints the names and images of our current graduating class to promote and celebrate our CHS graduates. We fully intend to participate again this year. On Friday, May 2nd, we will forward names and images of our amazing class of 2025 to local media in order to celebrate their accomplishments. If you DO NOT want your child's name and image published in local media, please contact us and fill out the brief form located in our school's main office by Friday, May 2nd at 3:30pm. Carbon High School will be offering summer school May 27th - June 20th from 8am - 12:15pm. Registration forms can be picked up at the counseling office and need to be returned by May 17th. Manage team equipment, uniforms, and facilities. Collaborate with the athletic director and school administration. Promote team unity, discipline, and sportsmanship. Maintain communication with parents, athletes, media, and the community. Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and encourage academic success. Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the state athletic association. Previous coaching experience (head or assistant level preferred). Knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules. Ability to lead and motivate high school athletes. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (required or obtainable). Experience with film review platforms (e.g., Hudl), Experience organizing offseason strength and conditioning programs. This is a reminder that 9th and 10th grade students will be completing Aspire testing starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 22nd and ending Friday, April 25th. Please remind students to bring their charged Chromebook to school each morning. There are also parts of the test where students can choose to have text played aloud for them. Please have your student bring wired headphones if they have them so they can use this option if desired.
