HMS Halloween Dance is TOMORROW 10/23 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. It is FREE to get in, and only eligible HMS students are invited. You must be off academic or behavior probation to attend. There will be prizes for scariest costume, funniest costume, and best group costumes. We will also have concessions available.

Helper Hogwarts is having their annual event on October 3 from 5pm-8pm. This is a free community event. See flyer for more info about this event.



Helper Middle picture day will be on Wednesday, September 3rd. Yearbook photos will be taken in the morning, and fall sport photos will be taken in the afternoon. (Cross Country, Football and Volleyball.) Picture packets will be handed out next week to students. You can order online, by going to www.mymjthomas.com and entering our school's event code. Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, including de-escalation techniques.
Support students in developing social skills, communication, and independence.
Help students with personal care needs, which may include toileting, feeding, mobility, and hygiene.
Prepare instructional materials and adapt lessons as needed.
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and on field trips.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
Follow safety procedures and district policies at all times.
Will work approximately 29 hours per week. Beginning pay is $17.25 per hour

The Intensive Intervention Special Education Aide supports students with severe to profound disabilities in accessing their educational programs by providing direct instructional assistance, personal care, behavior support, and supervision. This role requires a high degree of compassion, patience, and consistency, and may involve working with students who are medically fragile, nonverbal, or have significant physical or cognitive needs.
· Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) under the direction of a licensed special education teacher.
· Support students in both academic and functional skills (e.g., communication, self-help, mobility).
· Provide physical assistance with tasks such as feeding, toileting, diapering, and positioning.
· Assist with the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
· Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students.
· Implement behavior intervention strategies and document incidents as needed.
· Support students during transitions, transportation, or community-based instruction.
· Collect data on student progress and behavior to assist with ongoing assessment.
· Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, nurses, and other support staff.
· Maintain confidentiality and follow all student privacy and safety regulations.

Mont Harmon Pirates vs Helper Rams. We want to remind everyone, there are gate fees for all CVAA games including football.
$3 for kids, seniors 55+, and non HMS students.
$5 for adults. $10 for immediate families .
$50 for a punch card that can be used not only for football, but all HMS home athletic events.
