We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Intensive Intervention Special Education Aide to offer personalized support to students with disabilities. This position will operate under the direct guidance of the special education teacher and will involve providing specialized academic instruction in math and reading, both in small groups and one-on-one. You will implement individualized plans that are in place for each student. Assist with daily routines and personal care tasks. Participate in team meetings and provide updates on student progress. Maintain accurate records of student behavior and interventions. The aide will assist in integrating students into general education environments and community activities as appropriate. In addition to academic support, the role will encompass helping students with communication skills, daily living tasks, and behavioral guidance. The curriculum in the Intensive Intervention Resource Program (IIRP) classroom includes adapted sports and community access, requiring the aide to travel for field trips and support each student according to their individual goals. APRIL 21, 2025 IS MIDTERM!!! Please remember that midterm evaluations for extra-curricular eligibility will be April 21, 2025. You will be notified within 2 school days if you are ineligible to participate because of grades. Please take the appropriate steps to ensure you are passing all classes with a 70% or better. Academic probation prevents you from travel, games and competitions. Talk to your awesome teachers and work out a plan to get your grades up if needed. Have any “F” grades in academic subjects
Have any “U” grades in citizenship
Have six or more absences during the 4th quarter
Receive a Class II or Class III disciplinary referral

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Middle School Language Arts Teacher at Helper Middle School in Helper, Utah. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid Secondary Utah Teaching license (or willingness to complete the requirements to earn a professional license). A Middle School Language Arts Teacher is an educator who instructs students in grades 6-8 on various aspects of English language, including reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening, with a focus on developing critical thinking and analytical abilities appropriate for the middle school level. CITIZENSHIP MAKEUP REMINDER: The last day for students to start the process to makeup their citizenship is Thursday, February 27th. Students needing to complete this process MUST talk to Mrs. Smuin no later than 3:30PM on February 27th. Students whose citizenship drops after February 27th are no longer eligible to makeup their citizenship unless the drop is from a green reflection sheet (minor behavior).
