Reminder that next week we have Spring Break! School will resume on April 5th, and this will be an early out.

All current 6th and 7th graders have started requesting classes for next year. Your student will have paperwork to share with you. If you would like to make changes, please have your student show you the courses they requested on their Aspire SIS. Please sign the registration paper and send back with your student. These are only requests this is not your student’s final schedule. Their final schedule will not be available until May. Thank you so much!

This Friday March 19th the students will not have school. This is a scheduled training day for teachers.

8th grade parents: we only have a few days left to meet with your counselor for your Plan for College and Career Readiness. We will be taking in-person appointments on Monday and Tuesday the 22 & 23 of February during parent teacher conferences. (4pm-6pm) to make an appointment please call the front office. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Custodian at Mont Harmon Middle School. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use. Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Full time Custodian at Mont Harmon Middle School. The school custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the building and supporting a learning environment that promotes health, attitude and pride of students. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment. The school custodian also serves as a role model for students by displaying a professional, courteous, and helpful nature.The duties required of a custodian include replenishing stock in bathrooms, cleaning restrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dusting. Keeping the school as clean and tidy as possible is the overall responsibility of a custodian. They should be prepared to do things like moving heavy furniture to reach corners, cracks and crevices of covered parts of the room. They may have to clean laboratory equipment, such as computers and tables, mow and trim lawns and clean chimneys, flues and pipes with the use of power tools. Will work under the direction of the school principal and lead custodian. Will be responsible to maintain fields including mowing and other maintenance. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have previous experience in janitorial work. Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. This position will include benefits.
