Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Custodian at Sally Mauro Elementary in Helper, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Part-Time Custodian helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas. Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and other school areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces as assigned. Empty trash and recycling receptacles; replace liners as needed. Restock restroom and classroom supplies. Assist with setting up and taking down furniture or equipment for school events or meetings. Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting needed repairs. Assist in maintaining building and grounds safety by reporting hazards or damages. Follow district cleaning standards and safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Beginning pay is $17.25 per hour. The Utah Developmental Disabilities Council will be holding a Public Comment meeting at the District office on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 3pm-5pm. The Council is developing their new 5 year State Plan for 2027-2031 which will guide their work to identify and improve areas of need for Utahns with Disabilities. The public is invited to review and provide comment on the proposed goals and objectives, as required by law.

Contact tracing is being performed by the health department, and they are contacting those who may need to take special precautions. All students that are to be excluded from school for a period of time have been notified by the school nurse with those details.

Must have the ability to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check. Responsible for organizing and managing collections of journals, books, magazines, newspapers, electronic documents, and other data resources. Provide leadership in learning resources and instructional support to work with students, faculty, and families. Provide all students and faculty with an enriched library environment. Additional duties include morning and lunch supervision, assisting with substituting as needed and other duties assigned by the administrator. Will work approximately 29 hours per week. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Sub Bus Driver in the Transportation Department. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live scan fingerprint background screening. Must be able to qualify for a Utah CDL drivers license with school bus endorsement. District will provide paid training for qualified applicant. Under general supervision, the Substitute School Bus Driver operates school buses and/or other District vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities in a safe, timely and economical manner when regular bus driver is not available.
