Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Custodian at Sally Mauro Elementary School in Helper, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Part-Time Custodian helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas. Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and other school areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces as assigned. Empty trash and recycling receptacles; replace liners as needed. Restock restroom and classroom supplies. Assist with setting up and taking down furniture or equipment for school events or meetings. Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting needed repairs. Assist in maintaining building and grounds safety by reporting hazards or damages. Follow district cleaning standards and safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Work hours are primarily in the afternoon through evening to accommodate school activities and cleaning schedules. Apply online at www.carbonschools.org

Halloween Parade Reminder:
We will be having our Halloween parade this year. It will start at 8:30 am on Friday, October 31st. Parents are welcome to come watch.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Join us for a week of awareness and action! Wear something different each day of the week. Please see the attached flyer below for the lineup.

REMINDER: Starting Monday, 10/20/25, Bus #15 will now be Bus #142.

Same route, same driver, just a new bus number. This specifically affects students from Helper Middle School and Sally Mauro Elementary.

This change is permanent.

Please make a note so your student knows which bus to catch.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Para Professional at Sally Mauro Elementary in Helper, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background screening. The paraprofessional will support teachers and staff in creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for elementary students. This position assists in classroom instruction, supervision, and student support services to promote academic and social growth. Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and the implementation of lesson plans. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, lunchrooms, and during arrival/dismissal. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Perform other related duties as assigned. Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch Subs at various locations throughout the District. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Must have a current Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one in a timely manner. These workers will assist kitchen managers with various duties in the school kitchens such as: preparing food, serving students, dishes, cleanup, sweeping, mopping, storing food, and any other duties that are required to assist management.
