Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Para Professional at Sally Mauro Elementary in Helper, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background screening. The paraprofessional will support teachers and staff in creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for elementary students. This position assists in classroom instruction, supervision, and student support services to promote academic and social growth. Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and the implementation of lesson plans. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, lunchrooms, and during arrival/dismissal. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Perform other related duties as assigned. Due to current road conditions, parents with students who live on the northeast side of Carbonville Road will need to pick up their students either from school or at an alternate bus stop, which will be located at El Jinete (in Circle C trailer park). The bus will wait for 15 minutes and then return the students to school.

Sally Mauro Back To School Night will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2025. There are two sessions available: the 1st session from 6:00 to 6:25 pm and the 2nd session from 6:30 to 6:55 pm. You will need to attend at least one teacher session to receive a voucher for dinner in the cafeteria.

The Boys and Girls Club of Price is closing and will not be providing after-school services this year. There will be no bus routes to the closing location. Each elementary school will have an after-school opportunity through the Boys and Girls Club. The programs will not start until after Labor Day. Information will be available after school begins.

The Intensive Intervention Aide supports elementary students who require targeted and individualized academic or behavioral interventions. Under the direction of certified staff, the aide provides one-on-one or small-group support in reading, math, writing, and social-emotional skills to help close learning gaps and promote student success.

The Title I Paraprofessional provides academic support to students identified as needing assistance in reading and/or math. Working under the direction of certified teachers, the paraprofessional helps implement instructional strategies, delivers small group or one-on-one interventions, and supports student progress in alignment with Title I program goals.
