Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Sweeper at Sally Mauro Elementary School. This position will work approximately 19 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use. Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Must pass a live screen background check. School is starting just around the corner. August 19th will be the first day of school for first through fifth grade Students. It will be a full day from 8:04 to 2:40. Please make sure that your student is wearing a mask or a face shield. Also this year if you are packing a home lunch for your student, we would like you to be aware that there will be no microwaves in the lunchroom. They have already been taken out. Also from all of us at Sally Mauro we want you to know that we are doing everything we can so that everybody stays safe and healthy. Go Bulls!

We are putting together a presentation that includes pictures of students holding up signs indicating their level of excitement for finally being able to return to school.

Will handle clerical duties such as correspondence and filing. Work with teachers and school counselors to identify students with attendance issues. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Carbon School District is seeking applications for Kitchen Worker/Deli Delivery worker. Prepares, produces, and serves a variety of foods from fresh, canned, dry, or frozen states according to recipes and assists in other related tasks in a designated food service production and/or service area Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of main and side dishes and accompanying menu items, including sandwiches, salads, meats, vegetables, and fruits as specified by the menu, recipes and production records. Sets up and merchandises food and food service areas and serves food. Practices safe food handling according to State Health Department and CSD Food Services Standard Operating Procedures. Assists in transporting and serving food to satellite locations. Will work approximately 25 hours per week. Must have a valid Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a Live Scan Fingerprint background screening (cost of $25). To the wonderful parents and guardians of Sally Mauro students: Our amazing school district is working on a plan that will make sure students and staff are safe to go back to school. As soon as the plan is finalized, we will do our best to get it out to the public. Please be patient while we work through this difficult process to ensure safety for all.
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Teacher at Sally Mauro Elementary School. Applicants must hold a current Utah Teaching license with at least a Mild/Moderate certification for Special Education. Applicants must have a good knowledge of the IEP process, student transition and strategies of teaching individually to students at various learning levels in the same classroom. Ladies and gentlemen yearbooks are finally here. Please feel free to come to the school before 3:30 today to pick yours up, if you’ve already purchased one. If you would still like to purchase one there are a few available.

HMS Football Parent Meeting - June 30, 7pm at Helper Middle home bleachers in the gym. You may enter at north door of the gym (in the back). We will discuss practice schedules, game schedules (if available), Covid 19 plans, summer conditioning, and student fees.

As you drive through Sally Mauro's parking lot, we will hand out a pizza and a two liter of soda to each family with students at SME. We encourage you to wave and shout kind words to all teachers and staff. Then drive to HMS and get a ice cream courtesy of the foods department.
We are going out with a PARTY! Everyone at SME and HMS would like to invite all community members out to a parade to celebrate teachers and students.
