Carbon School District is seeking applications for Guest Teachers throughout all levels of schools within the District. Guest Teachers provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. Guest Teachers execute lesson plans left by the absent teacher. Guest Teachers create and maintain a respectful and fair classroom culture that fosters safe and productive learning. Guest Teachers monitor, observe, and report student behavior according to school policies and procedures. Please join us for Back to School Night. August 26th 5-6:30pm. There will a general meeting in the gym, then parents will go to teachers rooms for a 10 minute presentation (2 rotations). Tall Cop Community & Parent Night This presentation explains the current drug & alcohol terms in simple language for each attendee to apply what they learn in their community, school, or even at home. This session will not only identify what some of those products are, but it will also show attendees behaviors associated with them and how that can impact a young person, family, or community, who might be associated with this environment. Register-Register-Register If you have not registered your child for the 2021-22 school year, please do so ASAP. It can be done online on Bruin Point Elementary website or Carbon School District website. School begins on Wednesday, August 18th @8:00am.

All new kinder students will need to have an appointment with Ms. Robin for testing before they begin school. Ms. Robin has contacted many of our parents and set up appts. If you have not received a phone call, we do not have a current phone number listed in our system. Please contact the school to set up an appt and to update your contact information. Thank you!

2021-2022 School year calendar

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Sweeper at Bruin Point Elementary School in Sunnyside, Utah. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use.  Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Summer is quickly coming to a close and school will be back in session August 18th. Registration will begin Wednesday, August 4th 8am-12pm. We are looking forward to seeing all of our returning students as well as welcoming new students to our Bruin Point Family. See you soon!

Carbon School District has openings for After School Program Site Coordinators at various Elementary Schools throughout the district. Must be able to work well with children. Responsible to plan, conduct, and manage activities for students involved in the after-school program. Collaborate with school staff and others working in the after-school program. Must be willing to follow guidelines outlined in the grant funding source. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Lunch Worker. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports.  Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff.  Food handler permit is required upon hiring.  Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Last week of school activities are as follows: Tuesday @7:40am Walk to School-the bus will drop students off at the Wellness Center. Students will walk to school with the teachers. Hero ticket/Good Readers Drawing @1:30pm. Wednesday-Field Day 8:30am-2:00pm. Thursday-Yearbook signing. Release @10:45am Hope to see all our kiddos at school for these fun activities!
