Register-Register-Register If you have not registered your child for the 2021-22 school year, please do so ASAP. It can be done online on Bruin Point Elementary website or Carbon School District website. School begins on Wednesday, August 18th @8:00am.

All new kinder students will need to have an appointment with Ms. Robin for testing before they begin school. Ms. Robin has contacted many of our parents and set up appts. If you have not received a phone call, we do not have a current phone number listed in our system. Please contact the school to set up an appt and to update your contact information. Thank you!

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Sweeper at Bruin Point Elementary School in Sunnyside, Utah. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Help with the operation, upkeep and cleaning of the assigned school building and grounds. Keep the building comfortable, safe and clear for all times the building is scheduled for use.  Custodial duties include cleaning walls, windows, furniture, floors (carpet & tile), and cleaning restrooms. Stripping and waxing tile floors, refurbishing gym floors periodically. Other custodial duties as assigned by head custodian including minor maintenance on the building and grounds. Carbon School District has openings for After School Program Site Coordinators at various Elementary Schools throughout the district. Must be able to work well with children. Responsible to plan, conduct, and manage activities for students involved in the after-school program. Collaborate with school staff and others working in the after-school program. Must be willing to follow guidelines outlined in the grant funding source. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Lunch Worker. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports.  Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff.  Food handler permit is required upon hiring.  Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Last week of school activities are as follows: Tuesday @7:40am Walk to School-the bus will drop students off at the Wellness Center. Students will walk to school with the teachers. Hero ticket/Good Readers Drawing @1:30pm. Wednesday-Field Day 8:30am-2:00pm. Thursday-Yearbook signing. Release @10:45am Hope to see all our kiddos at school for these fun activities!

Attention 5th Grade Parents, Tonight, May 3rd @5-7pm Mont Harmon Middle School will be holding their Annual Pirate Treasure Hunt for incoming 6th Graders and their parents. This is a great opportunity for you and your student to check out the school and have some fun. Fliers were emailed to the students and parents last week, so check your email for more details. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Speech Language Pathologist. Speech-language Pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children. The Speech/Language Pathologist assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech/Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and administration of the cooperative and school district. Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems. Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions. Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine the need for clinical services. Participate as a team member in the comprehensive evaluation, review, and reevaluation process. Participate in the development of student IEP's.  Adhere to required program guidelines as defined by the plan for Special Education. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others concerning the needs of students and special services that are available. Assist teachers in the development and implementation of curriculum modifications and appropriate classroom strategies. Refer students and their families to appropriate community agencies and services. Cooperate with agencies serving students and their families. Provide therapy, followup, and/or consultation based on student IEP's. Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.  Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences.
