Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch Subs throughout the district. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Must have a current Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one in a timely manner. Carbon School District is seeking applications for substitute kitchen workers. These workers will assist kitchen managers with various duties in the school kitchens such as: preparing food, serving students, dishes, cleanup, sweeping, mopping, storing food, and any other duties that are required to assist management. Hello Parent/Guardian of an Incoming Kindergarten Student-
It’s time to complete the registration process for your incoming kindergarten student. Please follow the directions below based on your child’s / family’s situation.
If your kindergarten student is the first child from your family to attend school through Carbon District, or you have other children in Carbon School District, but you never created a parent account:
You will select CREATE ACCOUNT and complete the New Student Registration.
If you already have a PowerSchool parent account set up:
You will SIGN IN and add your kindergarten student to your parent account.

You can also expect to receive correspondence regarding the date/time your child will be assigned to attend their Kindergarten Screening. These appointments will be approximately 20 minutes, and they will be conducted on either Thursday, August 15th or Friday, August 16th. The first day of kindergarten will be on Monday, August 19th. (Please note that grades 1-12 will have their first day on Thursday, August 15th.)

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Chromebook Support Technician in the District Technology Center. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. All Carbon School District High School students are issued a Chromebook device for use at school and to take home. This part time position as a Chromebook Support Technician will provide primary support for the students using these Chromebooks. Works under the general supervision of the District Technology Coordinator. Provide before school support to students that have problems with their school issued electronic device. Issue and track loaner devices for students that have a device on repair or do not have a device available for school use. Perform basic repairs such as replacing broken screens, keyboards, and troubleshooting battery charging issues. Help students with password and or login problems with their electronic device. Assist in the delivery and collection of student devices throughout the school year. Assist with inventory tracking of student issued electronic devices. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of common chrome book programs (Apps) with ability to learn specialty programs used by District and/or schools. Ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and move about the work area; use hands to handle objects, fingers to feel objects, use tools, or controls; and speak or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception to handle and repair very small chrome book parts. Dear Parents and Guardians,
Approximately an hour ago we had a report of a potential dangerous person at Carbon High School and the school was immediately put on lock down.
Administration and local law enforcement responded and the situation was found to be an unsubstantiated threat.
The lock down has been lifted and all after school activities have resumed as normal.
We appreciate all involved including the community members who followed guidance from law enforcement and district personnel.
