Participate in district staff development program. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as required. Any other assignment deemed appropriate by the building principal.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline. Current Utah Secondary Teaching certification. Prior experience as a computer teacher is preferred.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Social Studies Teacher at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. To develop in each pupil an appreciation of American ideals and cultural heritage; to motivate each pupil to understand and exercise his/her rights, privileges, and responsibilities as a citizen; to develop understanding of the geographical, historical, cultural and political factors which influence the development of the world regions; to encourage pupils to develop sound opinions based on study of facts concerning operation of political and economic systems.
* Teaches courses in social studies, history, geography, American government, political science or humanities to middle school pupils utilizing the course of study adopted by the District and other appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in teaching individual course content.
* Develops lesson plans to teach a balanced social studies program involving factual background material, material on current events, discussion time and other appropriate activities designed to encourage pupils to develop skills and attitudes, draw conclusions, and achieve improved interpersonal relationships.
* Provides opportunities, when needed, for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
* Develops knowledge of the purpose, structure, and operation of the American governmental and economic system and the rights and responsibilities of American citizenship.

While the 9th/10th grades are testing on Tuesday, May 2nd and Wednesday, May 3rd, Juniors and Seniors are welcome to come work on Edgenuity/Credit Recovery in the library computer lab. The lab will be open from 8:00 - 10:45 AM and after school from 3:15 - 6:00 PM. This is a great chance to come get Edgenuity courses done. Bring your notes and come take quizzes and tests!

Seniors and Parents,
Tickets are required for graduation. Each graduate automatically receives 7 tickets for graduation. We anticipate having some extra tickets available. You can request up to 2 extra tickets total per graduate.
The form to request additional tickets will open at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. This is a first-come, first-served basis. You will be informed via the email provided on that form if you get extra tickets.
Tickets will be available for pick up by seniors starting Friday, May 19th at 9:30 AM. Students need to complete their senior checkout form (which includes teacher signatures for grades, worked off citizenship U's, school fees paid, etc) before they can pick up tickets.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Color Guard Advisor/Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. The Color Guard instructor coordinates the preparations, exercises, and activities of the school marching band’s auxiliary unit, the Color Guard. The instructor prepares and directs the unit for independent performance and competition, as well as for performances integrated within the larger marching band. Prepares warm-up routines/practice exercises for the unit; choreographs, arranges, and implements color guard routine(s), both as an integrated part of the marching band, and as an independent unit; schedules and conducts extra rehearsals for the unit. Schedules separate competition events as the unit transitions its status from an attachment of the marching band to an independent competition entity (Winter Guard) during the winter season; Other related duties, as assigned, to assist the Band Director prepare students for competitions and public appearances, including parades and reviews. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a LiveScan fingerprint background screening. Will work approximately 29 hours per week. Intermountain Electronics will be at Carbon High Tuesday, April 18th during lunch to talk about a summer internship program for graduating seniors and driven current 10th and 11th grade students. They will be providing information about the program, including how to apply. They are also providing lunch. Interested students need to sign up in the counseling office no later than the end of the school day on Monday, April 17th.
