Students have the chance to attend Attendance School for probations during Summer School. These opportunities will end June 20th and will not resume until September. If you need to clear probations for fall sports and activities, now is the time. Sign up in the CHS office ASAP.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Girls Tennis Coach at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The Assistant Girls Tennis Coach will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive and positive environment for student-athletes. They will help teach fundamental and advanced tennis skills, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship. The Assistant Coach will also assist with practice planning, game-day preparation, and administrative tasks related to the tennis program. Responsibilities: Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and matches. Instruct players on tennis techniques, rules, and strategies. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture. Provide individual feedback to players to help them improve. Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and travel. Assist with managing equipment and maintaining tennis facilities. Support academic and personal development of student-athletes. Ensure adherence to school and league rules and policies. Promote good sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Assist with communication to parents, athletes, and the school community. Attend coaching meetings, clinics, and professional development as needed. Qualifications: Previous tennis coaching or playing experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with high school athletes. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to the mission and values of the school and athletic program. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). You can access myschoolfees.com by entering your high school students ID/lunch number and entering a password. After you create your account, click on your students name and you will see any outstanding balances in red.

Due to report cards not being mailed home at the end of the 4th quarter, we are asking parents to check student fee balances on myschoolfees.com. School fees do not show up in Powerschool.

The coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, personal growth, and academic excellence among student-athletes. Key Responsibilities: · Program Leadership & Management: o Plan, organize, and supervise practices, matches, and team events. o Develop and implement instructional plans to improve individual and team performance. o Promote a positive and inclusive team culture. · Student-Athlete Development: o Foster a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all players. o Emphasize academic accountability and support student-athletes in balancing school and sports. o Provide guidance and mentorship on athletic, personal, and character development. · Administrative Duties: o Organize team transportation, equipment, and uniforms in coordination with the athletic department. o Maintain accurate records of player participation and team performance. o Communicate with parents, school staff, and administrators in a professional and timely manner. o Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic association rules and regulations. · Public Relations & Recruitment: o Promote the program within the school and community to encourage participation. ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO ATHLETE REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY*** For those students who are returning to CHS for the 2025-26 school year and are planning to tryout and participate in a fall sport, registration on Aktivate will open on May 27. You must be registered for your sport of choice in order to particpate and compete so please make sure this is taken care of as soon as possible. Also please remember that you must be academically eligible and can have no F's, I's or PRB's and must have a GPA that is 2.0 or above on your 4th quarter report card in order to participate. If you have any F's, I's or PRB's on your report card you will need to sign up for summer school in order to get your grades made up. Summer School will begin on May 27 and will run for four weeks and is the only option available to make up grades and work off PRB's so please contact your counselor as soon as possible to get signed up for summer school. Failure to do this will make you ineligible for all Fall Sports.

Seniors: Senior Checkout begins tomorrow from 10:00 - 2:00pm in the CHS library. Once a completed checkout form is turned in, you will receive your graduation tickets. Congrats CHS Class of 2025!

You will indicate if you are applying for free/reduced lunch, but please do not complete a meal application until the next school year's system is open after July 15th. The previous text concerning bus times is referring to Thursday's Senior Sluff trip to Lagoon. The Lagoon trip is NOT tomorrow (Tuesday).

Seniors planning to go to Lagoon, please be at CHS and on the bus by 7:55 AM. The bus will leave right at 8:00 AM. The bus will return to CHS around 6:00 PM. Please be sure to bring money for food and a jacket.

Parents- If you have a student taking the AP World History exam. They are running a little behind and are scheduled to finish about 3:55pm. Alternative plans will need to be made if your child rides a bus. If this is the case, at the end of the exam, we will encourage your child to contact you to make those arrangements. Also, the activity bus leaves CHS at 5pm and heads toward Helper. The activity bus also leaves CHS at 6pm and heads toward East Carbon. The Activity bus will be available for those students that need it.
