Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Business Office Financial Assistant. Will do basic accounting and clerical duties as assigned. May be asked to assist with any functions of the business office including payroll, accounts payable, purchasing and/or accounting. Will enter financial data into the accounting and payroll systems. Will oversee Employee Absence Management system. Will maintain payroll and financial records. Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google G Suite, incredible attention to detail, great organizational skills, basic knowledge of accounting practices, good time management skills, the ability to work independently and on a team. Hello, 12th grade students and parents. Next week, on October 6th, Carbon High School will hosting our Utah College Application Week. This is an opportunity for 12th grade students to apply for Utah colleges. Many schools from across the state will have representatives here to answer questions and help complete applications. Many of the colleges will WAIVE the fee for applications filled out that day. Students will receive a schedule and be excused from class based on which colleges they want to apply for. You can apply to as many schools as you like that day. Students should plan to have their Social Security number, Driver’s License information, and a credit card or payment information for any schools who do not waive the application fee. This is an amazing opportunity to get a jump start on your future.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a full time Custodian at Carbon High School. The school custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the building and supporting a learning environment that promotes health, attitude and pride of students. In addition to regular building maintenance functions, the school custodian provides direct support to classroom teachers in set up and maintenance of furniture and equipment. The school custodian also serves as a role model for students by displaying a professional, courteous, and helpful nature. The duties required of a custodian include replenishing stock in bathrooms, cleaning restrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dusting. Keeping the school as clean and tidy as possible is the overall responsibility of a custodian. They should be prepared to do things like moving heavy furniture to reach corners, cracks and crevices of covered parts of the room. They may have to clean laboratory equipment, such as computers and tables, mow and trim lawns and clean chimneys, flues and pipes with the use of power tools. Will work under the direction of the school principal and lead custodian. Will be responsible to maintain fields including mowing and other maintenance. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have previous experience in janitorial work. Must be able to climb ladders and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. This position will include benefits. Carbon School District is seeking Sub Bus Drivers. Paid training provided to obtain Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement. Responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and related events. Drives a school transportation vehicle within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging students at designated stops. Transports students and teacher on field trips to various locations; planning necessary route(s) and stops as needed. Maintains order and proper discipline of student passengers according to district policy. Conducts safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily. Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary. Services buses with gas, diesel fuel, and oil; checks and when necessary fills tires and batteries. Performs periodical safety drills as required by law; completing necessary reports upon request. Maintains cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition. Attends various meetings regarding safety, first aid and training updates as required. Attends driver training programs to maintain current knowledge of Utah Motor Vehicle Code and the Education Code as it applies to the operation of vehicles in the transportation of school children. Performs other related duties as required. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check (cost $25). Route driving beginning at $17 per hour.

This position will coordinate practices, manage matches, oversee the growth of the program, and promote a safe and competitive environment. Has the responsibility for the overall operation of the Girl's Golf program in the Carbon School District in accordance with district and UHSAA rules and regulations.Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off-school property. Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times. The Head Coach must have a commitment to the philosophy of providing a structured, developmentally appropriate, increasingly competitive and dignified program..Must have successful coaching experience in Golf and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Respond to emergencies and administers first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. Will work with the Athletic Director to schedule competitions and make arrangements. Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Carbon School District is seeking applications for two Assistant Softball Coaches at Carbon High School. Experience working with high school student athletes and softball is preferred. Qualified applicants must have the ability to motivate student athletes and the ability to work cooperatively with administrators, coaches, parents and student athletes. The Assistant Coach will be able to teach the technical and tactical aspects of softball. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting Head Coach with the Softball program in a positive and effective manner; communicate with parents, participants and fellow coaches; ability to help plan and execute skills and training programs specific for the level of athlete; help prepare student-athletes for competition; help oversee the daily maintenance and repair of equipment; other duties as assigned.
