We wanted to take one last opportunity to congratulate all of our CHS 2020 Senior Graduates.
As a part of our graduation activities Castle Country Radio put together a video from the drive through ceremony that took place yesterday. The video link will show the cars driving through and the students receiving their diploma folders. There is audio that plays along with the video, that includes all of the audio from the graduation DVD, plus information about each graduate. Their names are read in alphabetical order, so it does not coordinate with the cars on video. Use the following link from koalitv.com to listen and watch:

We want to thank everyone who helped to make these great events take place. Without the support of local businesses, the police and sheriff's office, ETV, local radio stations, teachers and staff at CHS, parents and families of our students, and most importantly the Senior Class of 2020, none of this would have been possible. Congratulations again to all of our graduates. We wish you the best in all of your future endeavors.
Check out this Graduation Day tribute to the Class of 2020! Thanks Rick Shaw...

We have had many inquiries about yearbooks. Due to COVID19 issues outside of our control, we are currently anticipating yearbooks to arrive sometime during June. As soon as we receive the yearbooks, we will arrange a yearbook pickup and get the notice out to everyone, via school contact and social media. Thanks for your patience in this very unprecedented situation.

Utah choir directors, including Miss Williams at CHS, performed this song in honor of their students. May they “feel the music of living” throughout their lives.

Just go to the Carbon High School webpage and click the link for Student Check Out. Youll need to scroll to the bottom to find the added dates. If you are having trouble getting signed up you can contact the office at the school between 9am and 3pm and our awesome secretaries can help you get signed up.

CHS Student Checkout and May 2020 Final Week Activities.
We hope your family is safe and healthy! As we move forward, the future isn’t clear, but it is bright! We look forward to the day when our students will be back with us, and we can once again be together. With the COVID -19 virus, cleaning at CHS has been increased and the entire school will be sanitized. This includes ALL lockers, classrooms, gyms, weight & locker rooms, etc. In order to facilitate a locker clean out along with our regular student checkout for the year (fees, textbooks, instruments, athletic gear etc.), we are putting into place specific procedures. These procedures have been reviewed and approved by South Eastern Health District officials. We will adhere to recommended social distancing during checkout. The instructions have been sent out by mail, email, the CHS Webpage, and can be found using the following link:

You will be turning in your Chromebook, any textbooks, library books, borrowed team uniforms or equipment, and pay any fees. We are asking that all fees be paid this school year. Your fees list will be mailed to you. If you have concerns about being able to pay all your fees at this time, please talk to the office to work out accommodations.
Over the next two weeks student activities will be available on the school website at the bottom of the page in the calendar section. Each department will share one activity each day. You can access them using a cell phone, tablet or home computer during the weeks. If you want to print off all of the activities using a Chromebook before you return it to the school you can. If you are unable to access the activities, please do not worry, your grade will not be impacted by these activities, the idea is to keep you connected to the school and learning for two more weeks.
If you need to use your Chromebook over the next two weeks for completing assignments, or taking tests in AP or Concurrent Enrollment classes, please sign up for one of the last days in the middle of May to return your Chromebook. Check with your teachers to see if you will need a Chromebook after Monday.
We look forward to seeing you all one last time before summer break.
Congrats to the following students for winning awards at today's Utah History Day State Competition:
State Champions (National Competition Qualifiers) - Pierce Bryner (Documentary), Alexis Chappell (Exhibit)
Honorable Mentions (National Competition Alternates) - Mikayla Taggart (Performance), Summer Atherley (Performance)
Finalists - Julia Moore (Exhibit), Grace Broadbear (Historical Paper)
Although our national qualifiers can't travel to Washington, DC this year, their projects will be submitted virtually and they will still compete... Good Luck DINOS!!
Graduation and Prom are still happening at Carbon High School.
We wanted to make everyone, especially our Seniors, aware that the administration, teachers and staff at CHS are committed to making sure there is a Junior Prom and Graduation Ceremony this year. We don't know when those events will happen this summer (or possibly Fall), but no matter how long we have to wait, they will still happen.
We are planning a Graduation Event for May 21st, to commemorate the actual day of Graduation. More details on this event will be coming, and we will adhere to all requirements given to use by the Health Department. If circumstances change in the next 4 weeks, we may alter this event. However, this event will not replace the formal graduation ceremony that we will have as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and we can all get back together again. This is very important to us and we want to assure everyone that we are doing all we can to make sure our Seniors can still celebrate there 4 years at CHS the right way.
