HMS Girls Basketball - due to the governor's restrictions on extracurricular activities we have struggled to get a girls basketball team together. Please have your student respond to the email they received from Mrs. Moon if they are interested. This will help us assemble the team sooner and be able to move ahead with practices in a timely manner.

All HMS extra-curricular activities are suspended until Sept 23 this includes girls and boys basketball, wrestling, archery, and RPG due to the recent emergency declaration. No girls shooting practice this morning. School is still in session and masks are still expected to be worn. Thank you for understanding.
Girls Basketball will have shooting practice on Monday and Friday mornings at 7:30 am in the gym.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Special Education Aide at Helper Middle School. Will work approximately 29 hours per week. Will work with students with disabilities to enhance their learning and access to the school curriculum. Will work in self contained classroom. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Students can dress up in their costumes on Friday. Please follow these guidelines:
No Full face masks - your costume must still accommodate the wearing of an appropriate face covering as normal
Costumes must be school appropriate and follow school dress code
Please do make-up and hair at home
Avoid oversized costumes / bulky costumes (inflatable)
No weapons real or facsimile
HMS Boys basketball this morning 9 am. Girls basketball open gyms will begin Nov 4 at 4:30.
Basketball open gym tomorrow Saturday morning from 9 am to 10:30 am come play and learn.
Wrestling open gym/practice will begin today at 3:30 till the activity bus comes at 5:30. This is after our 'early out' so students will need to be transported back to school. If you student cannot make it today there are other practices this week Tues - Fri from 3:30 to 5:30.
Hearing Screening for 7th grade will occur at HMS on Wednesday Oct 21. If you would like to OPT out please contact the school for a form and return by Oct 20.

Carbon School District is currently seeking applications for a cafeteria clerk at Helper Middle School. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports. Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff. Food handler permit is required upon hiring. Will work approximately 10 hours per week. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a Live Scan Fingerprint background screening (cost of $25).
