Hello FUTURE DINO and parent/guardian ,
Carbon High School is excited to invite 8th grade students to a CTE and Transition Day on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020. 8th grade students from Helper Middle School and Mont Harmon Middle School will be traveling to Carbon High to experience ‘life as a Freshman’.
Busses will pick up students from their schools at the time of the school’s first lunch. The students will meet first in the auditorium at Carbon High for general information and introductions. At approximately 12:15 pm, students will go to the CHS Cafeteria to enjoy their lunch. (Cafeteria workers will provide a typical high school lunch. Students who generally pack a lunch are invited to bring it with them). During this time there will be some activities in the Cafeteria as well.
At 1:00 pm students will begin their ‘rotations’. They will be guided through the halls of Carbon in 6 (six) different groups. The purpose is to facilitate a smooth transition for future Freshmen while highlighting several of our outstanding CTE programs, our faculty and the school. Students will be able to see the specific programs and CTE Pathways available at Carbon and mingle with faculty, staff and administration.
Students will then catch their bus to return home from Carbon High School at 3:15. For walkers and students that are generally picked up, please make prior arrangements to be picked up at Carbon on Wednesday.
We are looking forward to meeting all 8th grade students and providing them with information and the tools they will need to be comfortable and successful as they move to high school.
Go (FUTURE) Dinos!!!

Reminder: No School Monday 2/24, Early Out Tues 2/25. Quiz bowl leaves at 8:15 am on Tues for Green River.

A large cat was sighted behind HMS this afternoon. Helper PD and DWR responded and have been tracking the animal. It has not been found at this time. We will have teachers stationed around the hillside and stairs for students that walk home past the area it was sighted.
