Parents & Guardians, we are sending home letters today with your students which has the information for you to create your Parent Portal. This will allow you to see your students grades and attendance. Please contact the school with any questions.
Important Information for Homecoming Game: Parents excusing their student to leave school after the parade must contact the office NO LATER than 11:30 AM on September 15, 2023. Students will only be allowed to be picked up by parent/guardian or designee. Students will not be excused to walk. Students not excused will return to HMS to resume the regular school day. Route buses will run as normal.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach at Helper Middle School in Helper, Utah. Assist head coach, instruct student athletes on skills and strategies, and organize equipment. Must have the ability to communicate with all stakeholders, ability to follow directions as well as knowledge of the skills and strategies of the game of basketball. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. This is a part time position. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. We are excited to announce that we will be holding our annual color dance THIS FRIDAY, September 8, 2023. Students will be given 2 FREE bags of chalk and additional bags are $1. The activity will start at 1:45PM and will end at 3:05PM. Students are encouraged to bring clothes they can ruin and something to protect car seats for the ride home. Buses will transport students as usual. Please contact the school with any questions.

We have an update for you on the error this morning with the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The problem is within the Document Delivery feature of PowerSchool. They are diligently working on a solution for us and we hope to have an answer very soon.
We will communicate with you once the problem has been resolved. It is our highest priority.

Earlier this morning we sent emails to parents with access to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. There were issues that we found and we have since shut off the Parent Portal access until the problems are resolved.

We're excited for Carbon Football's kickoff to the season this Friday, August 11 at 7:00 pm against Hillcrest High! This game is a State Endowment Game, which means that all gate fees are sent to UHSAA. Carbon School District is seeking applications for a SPED Aide at Helper Middle School in Helper, Utah. Delivers educational interventions designed by Special Education teachers to help students meet educational, academic, life skills, behavioral, physical, social and emotional goals. Assists teachers with Special Education students to enable learning with minimal disruptions to other students. Due to the varied and individual needs of each student, the Special Education Aide may provide a variety of support and assistance, and should be flexible adjusting to student needs.
