Kindergarten Senior Walk
When: October 2nd @6:30 pm
Where: CHS Football Field, South Side of Field
Who: CSD Kindergarteners
What: For Homecoming Week, we are starting new traditions. This year, we will be having our first annual Kindergarten-Senior Walk. Kindergarteners and Seniors will walk toward each other from opposite sides of the football field and meet on the 50-yard line, where our Seniors will pass the torch to the next generation of Carbon Dinos. Wear blue! There will be food trucks on site for the Dinos Allstar Rally.
Due to an accident near Spring Glen that is causing a road closure, bus routes will be delayed today, Thursday, September 26, 2024. Please be patient as we work with officials to get your students home safely.
Dear Parents,
We had an amazing time at our Rock Our School concert yesterday! The energy was electric, especially with the Carbon High drumline pumping up our students first thing in the morning.
A huge thank you to Kenny and Harim Driggs, Becky, Skies, and Kari Driggs for their tremendous support. We also appreciate the Sheriffs Department for providing bouncers, ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
Special thanks to Kevin Hurst from USUE for bringing softball and baseball players, along with a student ambassador, and for sponsoring SME school shirts for all students and staff.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our fantastic teachers at Sally Mauro. Let’s keep the momentum going this year!

It's ROCK your School week here at Sally Mauro. Rock your School is a worldwide celebration of education and the incredible MAGIC educators continue to create for their students. Please ask your students how their day was today and throughout the week, and help your student dress up as a Rock Star on Friday.
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a part time Warehouse Worker. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Performs all functions within the scope of the warehouse for the purpose of providing warehousing operations. Participates in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, inventory, documenting logs, and delivery of food items and school supplies. Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements. Transports a variety of items. Delivers orders to appropriate schools or buildings. Ability to safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including but not limited to delivery trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse tools and equipment. Clean all areas in the warehouse. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Regularly lift and move objects 10-50 lbs or more. This position is part-time and will work 20-29 hours per week. Apply online at www.carbonschools.org

There was a minor medical issue on a bus at Carbon High this morning. Authorities were called as a precaution. All students are safe and school has been in session as normal.

Just a reminder that there is no school Monday, September 2nd as it is the Labor Day holiday. Tuesday, September 3rd will be an early out day at 1:20 pm.

We just received word from the bus garage that the underpass in Helper will be closed starting at 7:00 a.m. this morning. This means the bus cannot pick up children east of the tracks. Anyone who lives east of the tracks will need to catch the bus at the Central Commission or the Catholic Church on Main Street in Helper this morning.

This is a reminder about Back to School Night tomorrow, August 22, 2024. The PTO will provide dinner from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and there will be two sessions: 6 to 6:25 pm and 6:30 to 6:55 pm. Hope to see you all there!
Carbon School District is seeking applications for Lunch Subs throughout the district. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. Must have a current Utah Food Handler's permit or be willing to obtain one in a timely manner. Carbon School District is seeking applications for substitute kitchen workers. These workers will assist kitchen managers with various duties in the school kitchens such as: preparing food, serving students, dishes, cleanup, sweeping, mopping, storing food, and any other duties that are required to assist management. This job is a district wide job and is on an as needed basis. Beginning pay is $15.97 per hour.
