Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Driver's Ed Instructor at Carbon High School. Driver's education instructors teach students how to operate a car as well as safe driving techniques.A driver's education instructor imparts knowledge of defensive driving skills, state driving laws, accident causality and avoidance, and basic traffic courtesy to future drivers. Must be able to educate students in both theoretical and practical formats. Will teach the classroom portion of the class and possibly in the car if all certifications are completed. Must have a Bachelor's degree. Must be WILLING to obtain a Utah Driver's Education certificate. This is a part time position working approximately 29 hours per week. Parents and Students: During Morning Arrival (7:30-8:30am) and Afternoon Dismissal (2:30-3:30pm) ONLY BUS TRAFFIC is permitted in the EAST PARKING LOT (Lot C). If you are dropping off or picking up your child, please use the MIDDLE PARKING LOT (Lot B) in front of the school's main entrance. Please see the attached image for reference. Delivers educational interventions designed by Special Education teachers to help students meet educational, academic, life skill, behavioral, physical, social and emotional goals. Assists teachers with Special Education students to enable learning with minimal disruptions to other students. Due to the varied and individual needs of each student, the Special Education Aide may provide a variety of support and assistance, and should be flexible adjusting to student needs. Parents, please have your high school students login to SIS to double check their class schedules before the first day of school on Wednesday. A few minor changes have been made to some schedules due to class offering adjustments and room number corrections.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Cheer Coach at Carbon High School. The Assistant High School Cheerleading Coach promotes sportsmanship and physical fitness among students. Supervises all cheerleader activities, and works closely with other staff and the administration. Coordinate and supervise cheerleading activities at district, league, state, and other levels.  Assist the head coach in designing training program.  Promote sportsmanship and physical fitness.  Ensure that all cheerleader activities conform to UHSAA guidelines. Handle other tasks as assigned. Previous experience as a Cheer Coach or Cheerleader is a plus.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.   Must also be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening (cost of $25). Carbon School District is seeking applications for Guest Teachers at various locations throughout the District for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Guest Teachers provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. Guest Teachers execute lesson plans left by the absent teacher. Guest Teachers create and maintain a respectful and fair classroom culture that fosters safe and productive learning. Guest Teachers monitor, observe, and report student behavior according to school policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Head Coach will coordinate practices, manage matches, oversee the growth of the program, and promote a safe and competitive environment. Apply and enforce student discipline during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while on trips off-school property. Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times.  Must have successful coaching experience in Golf and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Respond to emergencies and administers first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings. Will you send a reminder through thrillshare for me? Summer school students, we have just a few reminders concerning our last two weeks of school. We will not have school on Thursday June 16 but we will be back on Friday June 17. The last week of School will run June 20-24. If you were issued a Chromebook without a case they need to be returned on June 24th with the charger in order to avoid a fine. Graduating Seniors: Let's honor the best of Carbon High School tonight! Please be in the New Gym by 5:00 PM. Appropriate dress for graduation: Best Dress=Clean and Neat Plain graduation caps (no decorations) - honor cords and leis are okay.  The tassel goes around the button on the cap and should hang on the right side.  Gowns zipped up. No spiked heels. No flip flops. Come prepared to honor this milestone in your life and have your families be proud of you!
