HMS Reminder: Today 8/3 and tomorrow 8/4 is registration from 9am -2pm. Most can be done online including fees unless changes need to be made. The Health Dept. trailer will be here today only 8/3 for any vaccinations that may be needed for school. The building is still under construction and not available for exploration.
Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Lunch Worker. Duties include entering student account numbers into the Aspire system as students come through cafeteria lines, collecting account payments, applying payments to student and staff accounts, notifying parents/guardians of account deficits, and tracking data for monthly reports. Other duties include helping as needed in the kitchen and communicating with school administration, faculty and staff. Food handler permit is required upon hiring. Will work approximately 20 hours per week. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Physicals are required for participation in all HMS athletics. Dr. Jensen's office is offering free physicals tomorrow at his office at 280 Hospital Dr. Suite 3, Price, UT on Wednesday July 21 after 5pm. First come first served. Carbon School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Football Coach at Helper Middle School. The Assistant Football Coach assists the Head Football Coach in promoting an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Assistant Football Coach assists in providing leadership and supervision for team and individual sports, and works closely with the other staff and administration. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have the ability to lead and organize assistant coaches, work well as a team member, work well with students and parents as well as all school staff and have a good working knowledge of football. Volleyball open gym will begin on July 13, 2021. Open gym will be from 6:30 - 8: 00 p.m. We will be using the gym at Sally Mauro Elementary. Open gyms will be on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and continue until August 12, 2021. If you have any questions, please email cartwrightm@carbonschools.org.
HMS Parents: 8th grade Send Off tonight @ 6:30pm: Students should dress up tonight. They will be seating in a special section. We do not have any attendance limits, however please remember we have limited floor seating and very limited parking. Tomorrow we will have our annual prize drawings and yearbook signing with buses home at 11:20. Student fees need to be paid before yearbooks will be handed out to your student.
HMS Parents: School Play tonight at 6:00pm - actors need to be here by 5:30 Donations accepted at the door. --- 6th and 7th grade awards assembly tomorrow (Wed 5/26) @ 9:00 am parents welcome, if your child is to be recognized for an award you should have been notified--- 8th grade send off tomorrow night (Wed) 6:30 pm in the gym.
If there are any Chromebooks that belong to HMS please return them to the school tomorrow so we can account for them before school is out.
HMS Parents: Tomorrow (Tues 5/25) is locker cleanout day and lost and found. Please encourage your students to check for missing clothing. There are many students with unpaid fees. Notices were sent home with students today.
HMS Parents: Events for next Week (Mon:) Color Dance at 12:30 to 2:30 students that stay will need rides home. Chalk is $1 a bag. If your student is not eligible to attend both you and the student have been sent an email. HMS Parents: Reminder 6th grade field trip in the morning to the Wave Pool Please have students bring swimwear and school clothes to change into after swimming. We will be back for lunch. 7th grade Bowling after lunch.
HMS Parents: We have just had an anonymous donor offer to cover the costs for our field trips. You will not need to send any money to the office. Your student will only need to bring cash for their snacks and amusement purchases. We will refund anything that has already been submitted. We are so grateful for this generous contribution.
